A PAIR OF CHINESE CLOISONNE ENAMEL INCENSE BURNERS, CONVERTED TO FORM STANDARD LAMPS
Supplied by Pierre Delbée of Maison Jansen, Paris, circa 1965, the cloisonné enamel late 18th first half 19th Century, the conversion into standard lamps circa 1965
Each with pierced hexagonal pagoda crown with pierced ormolu finial chased with peonies and trailing flowers, supported on a brass columnnar shaft with flared octagonal ivory raw silk shade, the circular verde antico marble platform above a pierced columnar shaft decorated in coloured enamels with stylised cloudbursts, on a spreading stepped plinth, drilled for electricity
