Nuremberg, late 17th century, maker's mark HC monogram in shield shaped cartouche
On spreading oval foot repoussé and chased with panels of shells, the stem formed as a standing female figure with a pair of doves resting on her left hand, with beaded scroll brackets above, the shell bowl held by four winged grotesque demi-figures, with scroll and rosette straps, the plain rim lightly prick-engraved with scroll flowers, marked on base and rim mount
