Second quarter 19th Century
The scalloped circular tilt-top decorated with a courtly Chinoiserie procession amongst temples and pagodas in a wooded landscape, the raised serpentine lappetted border inlaid with stylised mother-of-pearl geometric motifs, the waved frieze decorated in imitation of lac burgauté with speckled panels interspersed with acanthus sprays, on a foliate-decorated baluster stem and pierced quadripartite base with scroll feet, brass caps and castors, lacking finial to base, the catch replaced
