The construction of typical form with brass plates suspended on four brass columns, silvered chapter rings for hours, minutes and seconds, the grooved inclined plane below, the moulded gilt-brass brass applied with a rectangular plaque engraved DENT and with further silvered plaque to the back engraved with the initials ETH No.080 1973; on further mahogany and verde antico marble base with adjustable milled brass feet; covered by a brass framed perspex dome
