The straight fullered blade etched with royal arms, crowned eagle and blank scrolls, and stamped on the back 'London Made', regulation gilt-brass hilt with crowned eagle and 'GvR' cypher, and wire-bound shagreen grip, in black leather scabbard with gilt-brass mounts (gilded elements of sword and scabbard extensively rubbed, the scabbard lacking its internal stiffening and slightly shrunk)
