Early 17th Century
Probably from a cuirassier armour, with two-piece skull rising to a low comb and extended at the back to form a single two-piece neck-plate, pointed visor with vision-slit divided at the centre (lifting-peg missing) and pivoting at the same points as the lower- and upper-bevors, the last two each secured by hooks and pierced studs, the upper-bevor pierced on the right side with circular breaths, the lower-bevor shaped to the chin, and single gorget-plate at the front, the outer surfaces mostly incised with pairs of double lines (some now worn away): on wooden stand
