MARILYN MONROE SIGNATURE
1960
A black and white photograph of Marilyn Monroe mounted to a matte with her black fountain pen ink inscription reading For Gene/Love & Kisses/Marilyn Monroe. Shot by Cecil Beaton, this particular image is known to have been Marilyn's favorite of herself, thus she kept many copies of it to sign when special people asked. The actress Madge Kennedy, who portrayed Miss Manners in "Let's Make Love," did make such a request of MM on behalf of her friend; the result being this piece that 'Gene' has owned since 1960. Also included is a pamphlet titled 'Films in Review' with an article about Kennedy's career.
10 x 8 inches
Please note the matte is evenly yellowed due to the piece being framed for over forty years and the photograph itself has been slightly trimmed.
