The bodhisattva Avalokitesvara shown seated in padmasana, the bare chest cast with a wan emblem, with long ribbons decorated with cartouches of fruiting and blossoming branches trailing from the five-part openwork crown enclosing five images of Amitabha, on a separate lotus base raised on a stem rising from the separate wave-cast faceted hexagonal stand

Compare the similar figure also raised on a lotus stand and of the same date but of somewhat smaller size (62.4cm.) in the Chang Foundation, illustrated in Buddhist Images in Gilt Metal, Taipei, 1993, no. 37.
