Surmounted by a circular top, the underside stamped Morison and Co., Edinburgh and numbered A8005, supported by four pairs of faux-bamboo legs, joined by a pierced shaped stretcher, on four feet

Lot Essay

Morison & Co were one of Edinburgh's leading cabinet makers. The proprietor of Morison & Co was William Robert Reid, who lived at Launston Castle, Cramond, just outside Edinburgh from 1902 to 1926. He left the castle and its collection in trust to the nation.
