A DAUNIAN POTTERY STRAINER ASKOS WITH DOLPHINS
3RD CENTURY B.C.
The body with two vertical cylindrical spouts, one with strainer holes near the rim, the other with the strainer at base of the spout's neck, with double handle, decorated in red and dark brown with friezes of running scroll, chevrons, dotted zigzags, wavy lines, meander and chain pattern, 'metopes' above the base with two dolphins, stars, a scroll, palmette and dotted circles
