Note:

2. Mr. Sidney D. Thistleton (1919-2003) worked in the Department of Treasury in Australia before the Second World War, and was commissioned as an Royal Australian Air Force pilot in 1942. In 1945, Mr. Thistleton was employed by the United Nations and worked in Manchuria until 1947. This scroll was a gift to Mr. Thistleton before he left China.
3. Liang Husheng, a native of Guangdong, was an official in the Guomindang. He led the New Army No. 1 and No. 71, and was appointed to head the local government of Jilin Province towards the end of the 2nd World War. He left for Taiwan with the Guomindang in 1949.
