A FELLETIN VERDURE TAPESTRY
Late 17th early 18th century
Woven in wools and silks, depicting wild birds including a harron and a falcon in a wooded river landscape with a hamlet beyond, within a brown and mustard inner slip, a fruited foliate border and a later yellow and blue outer slip, reduced in size to both sides and bottom with consequential cuts to borders, limited areas of reweaving
9 ft. 4 in. x 13 ft. 7 in. (284 cm. x 414 cm.)
