MARILYN MONROE 'COMPLETE ROLL OF FILM' ORIGINAL NEGATIVES AND COPYRIGHTS OF PHOTOGRAPHS BY JOCK CARROLL

A group of thirty-two original black and white 35-millimeter negatives and their associated copyrights to images which depict a tweny-six year old Marilyn Monroe in her hotel room while she was filming "Niagara." Five of the photographs were originally published in the Canadian newspaper supplement called 'Weekend Picture Magazine,' (Vol. 3, No. 32) in the August 9, 1952 issue; twenty-nine of the photographs (the illustrated contact sheet above) were published on page 68 of the 1996 book titled 'Marilyn The Niagara Photographs Jock Carroll' and three of the photographs have never before been published (negative numbers #29, #31 and #33). Three recent prints are included for visual purposes as is the 1952 'Weekend Picture Magazine' (though pages are missing) and a first-edition printing of 'Marilyn The Niagara Photographs Jock Carroll.'

Buyers should note that though the copyrights are being sold with the negatives, certain uses of these images may require permission from the Estate of Marilyn Monroe or other entities that may own the rights to her name and likeness. Buyers should also note that the publishers of 'Marilyn The Niagara Photographs Jock Carroll' (Stoddart/Friedman, 1996) retain the rights to republish the book including future editions.
