A Nymphenburg pastoral musical group Circa 1770, impressed shield to obelisk and to underside with incised 43
After a model by F.A. Bustelli, with a farm-girl wearing a straw hat, blue bodice and a striped yellow skirt, seated by a tree on a grassy knoll at the foot of a dilapidated obelisk surmounted by a rococo urn, holding a manuscript in her left hand and an open score nearby, singing and looking over to her companion accompanying her on the lute, the farm-boy in a green hat, striped puce jacket and puce breeches, seated on a series of large sweeping gilt-edged C-scrolls against the obelisk, on a shaped shallow grassy mound base edged with scrolls, enriched in gilding and blue (tip of lute and branches lacking, his right hand, left arm, lute and urn at top of obelisk restuck, his left foot restuck at shin, her left hand and manuscript damaged, chip to underside corner of score, minute chipping to hats, slight firing cracks)
