A Meissen equestrian group with a huntsman Circa 1745, blue crossed swords mark
The rider wearing a black tricorn hat, with effeminate features and long flowing hair tied with a ribbon, his puce-lined blue coat with silvered borders and buttons, his puce jacket below with silvered buttons and pockets, with puce breeches and long black boots, a sword at his left side, leaning slightly back in his saddle with the reins in his left hand, the silver-edged yellow saddle-cloth with silver husks at the corners, the white stallion's coat with a pale-brown patches, rearing up on its hind legs, its nostrils flared and ears pricked, supported beneath by a tree-stump on a large oval mound base applied with flowers and foliage (horse restored through both front legs and chest, rider's right arm and reins)
