A MOROCCAN NIMCHA, AN AFRICAN SWORD, AND A BROADSWORD IN RENAISSANCE STYLE
The first 19th Century
The first with curved fullered European blade, characteristic horn hilt (cracked), brass collar, silver-damascened iron knuckle-guard and downcurved quillons, and original wooden scabbard covered in green velvet (worn) with silver mounts (minor defects); the second with leather-covered hilt and scabbard; the third with straight tapering blade etched on both sides of the forte with scrollwork and foliage, downcurved silver quillons, and cast-iron grip and pommel decorated in relief with scenes of the chase
