A BACTRIAN BRONZE INCENSE BURNER
Circa Early 1st Millennium B.C.
The hemispherical bowl with a raised horizontal hatched ridge, the flanged lip ornamented with six standing animals in right profile, including two birds, each on a single foot, with incised wings and hooked beak, and four rams, each with underslung horns and triangular face, the vessel on a flaring foot with a central register of openwork scrolling between raised hatched ridges
5 7/16 in. (14.2 cm.) high
