Lot Essay

Giles Greenfield was born in 1963. After gaining an illustration degree at Kingston Polytechnic, Giles first worked as a storyboard artist for advertising agencies in London. One of his initials freelance commissions was to illustrate the first Classic FM advertising campaign. Commissions followed with Hobson's publishing, and the magazines Wine, Director and Tax Journal. Three books featuring his illustrations have been published, Sacha and the Wolfchild (Harper Collins, 1999), Chaucer the Cat (Bloomsbury, 1999) and Owen and the Mountain (Bloomsbury, 2000). Giles has also been working on a book of Fairy Tales for Dorling Kindersley and the cover illustration for J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
