Approximately 136 autographs in an album, circa 1898-1904, each in black ink, the majority inscribed to the compiler of the collection, Richard or 'Dick' Marney, a few autographs on individual pages including: Enrico Caruso, inscribed beneath a self-portrait caricature in profile with an autograph musical quotation from Rigoletto, additionally inscribed London, 1902, [Caruso's debut opera at Covent Garden]; Paolo Tosti beneath an autograph musical signature Goodbye Summer; other subjects include: Nellie Melba, Fernando De Lucia, Bonci, Walter Passmore, Antonvan Roosy, Anselmi, Rosa Olitzke, Edward Dereske, Isabel Gay, Gertie Miller, Dan Leno, Herbert & Maud Beerbohm Tree; and an additonal Enrico Caruso signature beside Caruso's caricature of Dick himself, inscribed Covent Garden, 1904, the album 4to. with original leathers covers, titled in gilt; and a souvenir booklet of the play Humpty Dumpty, the Theare Royal's Children's Pantomime, 1903-4, with illustrations, published by J.Miles & Co., Ltd.
