Lot Essay

Identical swords are seen in several key scenes throughout Highlander, most notably when Ramirez [Sean Connery] teaches MacLeod [Christopher Lambert] his potential powers as an immortal, and again when Ramirez battles with the evil Kurgan and is destroyed by him, allowing the sword to pass to MacLeod.

This is thought to be the second such sword to appear on the market from Highlander - the other example was first offered through these rooms on 11th December, 1997. The vendor of this particular sword was a member of the crew working on Highlander and was given the sword, and that in Lot 130 at the end of filming - apparently, the Producer, Bill Panzer, gave them to him as he was unable to take them back on the plane with him to the U.S.
