Lot Essay

Molly Brown [Kathy Bates] is seen wearing a necklace and earrings such as these in the evening scene when Jack Dawson [Leonardo DiCaprio], having persuaded Rose [Kate Winslet] not to throw herself from the stern of the Titanic, is invited by Rose's fiancè Cal [Billy Zane] to join them for dinner in the first class dining room.

Titanci swept the board at the 1998 Academy Awards ceremony winning eleven Oscars (the only other film to win as many was Ben Hur in 1960) including Best Picture, Best Director [James Cameron], Best Actress [Kate Winslet] and Best Costume Design [Deborah Lynn Scott].
