A pair of Scottish pearlware commemorative plates CIRCA 1822, IMPRESSED MARKS FOR THOMAS RATHBONE & CO, PORTOBELLO, SCOTLAND
Moulded with a quarter-length portrait of George IV in military regalia and Queen Caroline wearing a yellow hat with a blue plume and green jacket, above moulded titled swags in yellow, the borders moulded with crowns and Prince of Wales plumes and ribbons tied with leaves, within shaped rims (the Queen Caroline plate restored, glaze flaking to the King's uniform, minor losses to the green and yellow glazes of Queen Caroline, very slight chipping to rims)
