A French brass striking and repeating carriage clock, circa 1890
The case with fluted columns and filigree mounts, with gilt-brass trellis-work overlay to pink painted porcelain dial, the chapter disc painted with scene of a castle keep and with two-tone Arabic chapters, blued steel hands, the eight day twin barrel movement with silvered platform to bimetallic balance with lever escapement, strike/repeat on gong to back plate numbered 320 -- 6in. (15.2cm.) high to hilt of handle
