Lot Essay

Accompanied by Piaget Certificat de Garantie et d'Authenticité No. 127815 dated March 1972 and original fitted presentation box.

Piaget confirms production of the present watch in 1969. It is part of the "Manchette" (cuff) collection, launched in the early 1970s. Only approximately 5 examples of this particular model have been made, all bearing a different hard stone dial such as coral, malachite, turquoise, onyx or lapis lazuli as the present watch.

For other examples of unusual Piaget bracelet watches see Montres et Merveilles de Piaget by F. Cologni, G. Negretti, F. Nencini, pp. 130-139.
