A FINE ANTIQUE PEARL AND DIAMOND NECKLACE
Designed as thirteen pearl and diamond circular clusters to the diamond fleur-de-lys spacers, clusters detach to form brooches or earrings, mounted in silver and gold, circa 1870, 41.8 cm. long, in Frazer & Haws blue velvet fitted case

Lady Guendolen Chaplin, and thence by decent.
Lady Guendolen Talbot (d. 1937) was the second daughter of Charles, 19th Earl of Shrewsbury (1830-1877) and his wife Teresa (d. 1912), daughter of Commander Richard Howe Cockerell R.N. She married firstly Colonel Edward Chaplin (d. 1883), M.P. for Lincoln (d. in 1877), and secondly in 1887, Major Archibald Cosmo Little (d. 1934), 5th Lancers, of the Upton House Tetbury, Gloucestershire.
