Magnolia and Blue and White Ching Vase

The inscription by the artist reads: "Very tempted to draw a window behind magnolia with view to the south end of Coogee. But have decided to keep it simple and let this piece of pencil writing cause the picture plane disturbance I wanted instead. The same with a lot of Leonardo da Vinci drawings, the written script introduces a forma grid that works as form, apart from any information it carries."
