Late 18th/early 19th century, probably Batavian
The pair of glazed astragal doors possibly renewed, the lower part with a fall enclosing a fitted interior and a slide, with restoration and alterations

The bureau cabinet with similarities as illustrated in Het Netherlands Koloniale Meubel by J Terwen de Loos, Studie over meubels in de voormalige Nederlandse Koloniën Indonesie en Sri Lanka, fig 61, p 105, with further similarities to a cylinder bureau illustrated in Domestic Interiors in the Cape and in Batavia, 1602-1795, fig 38, p 107, and also a commode, fig 39, p 109.
