Lot Essay

Leitch is best known in his capacity as Drawing Master to Queen Victoria. He also served as vice-president of the New Watercolour Society from 1862 to 1882.
A watercolour by Leitch was sold in these Rooms from the Collection of Monsieur and Madame Gérald Bauer, 22 January 2003, lot 47, (£7,170)
