Edward Henry Street, Rhyl

In 1933 Lowry painted an oil version of this subject, formerly in the collection of the late Monty Bloom, which was sold in these rooms on 1 July 1993, lot 122, private collection. In the oil, the artist has added two figure groups walking near the doorways of the furthest block of terraces, and his signature has been moved to underneath the doorstep on the left hand side of the painting.
