signed with a fly (lower right), signed, inscribed and dated 'a walk through the fields to Marten Mill./Blackpool./Mother, George & I (and the dogs, Gyp & Barney)/with Grandma and the Three Aunts, enjoyed/a walk through the fields to the mill, to/chat with the miller, and see if he had/milled any of Grandpa's wheat. Sometimes/we saw a train being a Day Trip from/Manchester. The train in the picture was/one of the latest, being built at Crew [sic] in/1902. It was a beautiful warm/September day in the year 1906./Helen Layfield Bradley 1967' (on a label attached to the reverse)
