Motor Engineers, Bournemouth - two original early sales catalogues - the first for 1911, copiously illustrated with examples of the primary marques for which they were agents - Berliet and Wolseley, 32 pages, the second a 1912 Souvenir again copiously illustrated with Berliet and Wolseley also with Benz and Panhard cars, both catalogues listing numerous testimonials, race successes and colonial achievements, in good order, 22 numbered pages with a map of agency coverage. Together with a framed illustration of a lady motorist with bulldog, as depicted on the cover of the 1911 Edwards catalogue, 13 x 8 ins. 33 x 20 cms, mounted, framed and glazed, and a later framed advertisement for Edwards & Co. by now 'Sole Officially appointed Retailers and Repairers for Bournemouth, New Forest and Dorset for Rolls-Royce and Bentley'. Ltd. were sales agents for the finest motor cars, in the earliest days of motoring this meant they sold Panhard-Levassors and Wolseleys, this progressed later to Benz and Berliet marques, and in turn they became agents for the sale of Bentley and Rolls-Royce Marques. The following property was purchased from them on their closure.
