Lot Essay

Suntica, by Sun Briar, one of the fastest horses of his years, out of Simpatica, daughter of Friar Rock, was a Triple Oaks Winner - her victories included the Kentucky, Illinois and Latonia Oaks of 1932. Sun Briar had been the best two year old of his year, whilst Friar Rock, sire of Simpatica, was half-brother to the immortal Fair Play, sire of Man O'War. Suntica was owned and bred by Mr. and Mrs. Willis Sharpe Kilmer whose breeding operations were at Sun Briar Court and Court Manor.
