CICERO, Marcus Tullius (106-43 B.C.). Epistolae ad Brutum, ad Quintum Fratrem, ad Atticum, edited by Bartholomaeus Salicetus and Ludovicus Regius, with additions by Pomponius Laetus. [Venice: Philippus Pincius, c. 1495].
Super-chancery 2° (316 x 210mm). Roman and Greek type, first page in red and black with red woodcut initials, white-on-black woodcut initials, initial spaces, some rubricated, guide letters. (One wormhole in quire a and a little worming at end with loss of a few letters, some ink staining on aiii, occasional light marginal dampstaining, a few leaves browned.) Contemporary German blind-tooled pigskin, early vellum title label on front board, 2 catches, yellow edges (clasps replaced, head and tail of spine repaired). Provenance: a few early marginal annotations -- ?shelfmarks on front endleaf.
