FRANK SINATRA TUXEDO
1977
A black three-piece tuxedo worn by Frank Sinatra. There is a Brooks Brothers label on the inside collar and a custom label on the inside right breast pocket that reads "Brooks Brothers Own Make Special Order For Frank Sinatra Date 4/28/77 Order B05476," the name, date and order number are handwritten in blue ink. Together with a matching vest and a pair of pants. Also present is a typed letter from Oskar Egger, the previous owner of this tuxedo. He writes that Father Tom Rooney, a personal friend of Sinatra's, gave this tuxedo to him. There is also a copy of a typed letter on Brooks Brothers letterhead, dated June 7, 1999, addressed to Mr. Egger authenticating that "this tuxedo was made in [their] Long Island City, NY factory for Frank Sinatra in the Spring of 1977."
