A black and white mugshot of Janis Joplin, who was arrested for disorderly conduct by the Tampa, Florida Police Department after "badmouthing" an officer. The single picture contains three images; a full-body shot of Joplin wearing a dark dress, standing underneath a clock and calendar (November 17) with her prisoner number next to her (151592), and two images of her head; profile and forward facing. A judge ruled that Joplin's words were protected as free speech and the charges against her were dropped. On verso of card is written "Janis Joplin Deceased Off. Rivett T.P.D." Also present is a photocopy of part of a 1969 Tampa, Florida newspaper article describing the incident.
