The tortoiseshell bowl with upper mount engraved with profiles of putti, the lower pierced mounts in the form of foliage and scrolls, the underside of the bowl inlaid with a circular enamel plaque depicting Hercules carrying a bull, marked in gilt lettering around the edge '+SANCON+LE+FORS+'; the mounts, bowl and enamel possibly associated; cracks and repairs to the bowl
