4o. 11 folding diagrams, text illustrations. Original printed wrappers; boxed.
Second edition. Maintenance manual for the equipment manufactured by IBM's Tabulating Machine Company Division. A set of sample punched cards is laid in. These cards are of special significance since they are very early examples of the eighty-column IBM punched card that was standardized in 1928. This remained the standard for punched cards for about the next fifty years, and a key profit center for IBM.
This was the earliest document published by IBM that we were able to find. It was published five years after Watson changed the name to IBM. It contains the early version of the IBM logo. When OOC was written, OCLC cited only one copy of this work. VERY RARE. OOC 375.
