PRICED in a contemporary hand with the names of several buyers. Paignon-Dijonval's extensive library, which included prints, maps, and significant works on history, was inherited by his grandson, Morel-Vindé, who continued to add to the collection. The most expensive item of this sale was lot 71, a 15th-century manuscript Breviary with 41 miniatures, some in grisaille (1,600 frs, to Crozet), which had been purchased at the La Vallière sale.
