Honzukuri, iori-mune, extended kissaki, koshizori; forging pattern ko-itame and mokume; tempered edge gunome of nie and nioi, ko-maru boshi; tang shortened with three holes and traces of a fourth hole, kiri file marks; 67.6cm. long

The koshirae comprising: saya, tsuka and tachi tsuba all decorated in cloisonné enamel and gold wires with chrysanthemums, vines and butterflies in polychrome enamels against a dark blue ground, the brass tachi hardware carved with chrysanthemums and cherry blossoms; 109cm. long
