An Iron Tsuba
Edo period (18th century), inscribed Yamashiro kuni Fushimi ju Kaneie
The thin rounded rectangular tsuba slightly convex and carved in relief with two geese standing on the shore of a lake while three other geese fly past the moon, reverse with distant mountains and rocks in the foreground with gold and silver highlights, ryohitsu plugged with shakudo; tang hole with traces of copper from mounting
