Lot Essay

The limestone bust, from which this cast has been taken, was excavated by the Deutsche Orient-Gesellschaft from a sculptor's studio at Tell el Amarna in the early 20th Century and is now in the Ägyptisches Museum Berlin, inv. no. 221 300.
