A fine electric powered 5in. gauge model of the Metropolitan Railway BO-BO locomotive No.18 'Michael Faraday',
built by D. Jeavons, the chassis of channel section steel is fitted with twin bogies, each axle gear driven by 12volt electric motor wired to a control box with switches for forward/reverse and speed. Each axle has working leaf springs, the bogie with coil springs, power is provided by two 12v car batteries. Body details include doors, windows, ventilator louvres, hand irons and dummy lamps, finished in MR red livery and lining with black running gear and route boards for Baker Street and Aylesbury --35.5 x 109cm. (14 x 43in.); and a driving trolley with hand brake, padded seat and side and foot boards, the bogies with roller bearings -- 124.5cm. (49in.) long and display track
