A Northeast Indian, Pala style, phyllite stone figure of Vishnu

The four-armed deity standing in samabhanga on a lotus which is placed on a stepped plinth decorated with thick tendrils, a pair of donors and Garuda, his principle hands in varadamudra and holding sankha, both upper hands with gada and cakra, wearing dhoti, bejewelled, his face with almond-shaped eyes, high kiritamakuta, flanked by Lakshmi holding camara and Sarasvati with vina, the arched backslab elaborately carved
