The above jersey was worn by Len Duns in the 1936-37 F.A. Cup final. In the 1936-37 F.A. Cup final, played at Wembley on 1st May 1937, Sunderland defeated Preston North End 3-1, with goals from Gurney, Carter and Burbanks, with Preston's solitary reply coming from F.O'Donnell. This was the first-ever F.A.Cup final win by Sunderland
