YUYAN PAVILION AND POEMS DEDICATED TO WU KUAN

The scroll comprises colophons by fifteen Ming artists to an original painting by Shen Zhou (1427-1509) of the Yuyan Pavilion, a property that belonged to Wu Kuan (1435-1504). The original complete scroll was dedicated to Wu Kuan. The Shen painting was subsequent lost and Zhang Chunsiu (17th century) who had the scroll of colophons painted a substitute piece to complete the scroll. Artists include:
