Lot Essay

Tjeerd Bottema is well-known for his design of an old man with bollerhat and lady with umbrella for the Rotterdamsche Verzekerings Maatschappij (RVS). His drawings for children's books and political drawings for the magazine 'De Ware Jacob' established his reputation.
