Contemporary green half morocco gilt by Canapé, the flat spine divided into three unequal compartments, lettered in gilt in the second, the second and third with gilt tooling and multi-colored onlays of morocco to an overall arabesque design, original thin card upper and lower wrappers bound in, top edge gilt. LIMITED EDITION OF 500 COPIES ON "PAPIER DU JAPON" with the stamped signature of the artist, this number 188. Like his contemporary George Barbier, Brunelleschi's evocative work seems to capture the spirit of early 20th-century Paris.
