A George III mahogany quarter chiming bracket clock

The case with bell top, the sides with elaborate foliate pierced mahogany frets and handles, trailing floral caryatides to the angles and on brass bracket feet, the dial signed John Pritchard London on a silvered plaque in the arch flanked by subsidiary rings for pendulum regulation and chime/not chime, silvered chapter ring with pierced blued steel hands and matted centre with calendar aperture, the substantial five pillar triple gut fusee movement with verge escapement with spring suspended pendulum with cam-regulation system mounted above the plates, quarter chiming on eight bells with hour strike on a further bell, the backplate engraved with a central spray of flowers within further foliate engraving, similarly engraved pendulum holdfast and movement securing brackets
