YONGZHENG/EARLY QIANLONG, CIRCA 1735-40
Enamelled at the centre of the interior with a sepia gnarled tree-trunk with gilt detailing amongst tree peony, prunus and bamboo branches, the well with a sepia and gilt band of petals, and the wide everted rim with eight lotus cartouches reserved on sepia, pale blue and pink whorl-, trellis-, cell-, and diaper-pattern grounds, the exterior with two freely-drawn iron-red floral sprays
