Edo period (18th-19th century)
Each with bevelled corrners and edges on the cover and lacquered with scrolling vines and family crests in gold silver hiramaki-e on a roiro-nuri ground, the edges fundame and interiors black lacquer, fitted with silvered copper plum-blossom cord rings
